You play as an emissary commissioned by the charred Queen to reclaim the wild lands and uncover lost riches for the incandescent city, the last stronghold of civilization against the Cataclysm that destroyed the ancient world. Unlike most urban planning and survival games in which you play in a single city, in Against the Storm you need to build a vast network of thriving settlements, populated by different fantasy races, each with its own specializations and needs.
The wilderness hides many dangers, and incessant storms will crush your population. If your settlements were to fall, the expedition could end… but not the game. Against the Storm is a roguelite city building game, which means you’ll retain the resources, upgrades, and experience from your previous expeditions every time you start over.
